Massage Therapy Fresno Central Valley
How does massage therapy work?
Massage has several beneficial effects and positive effects on people that can be used therapeutically. Direct mechanical effects occur via pressure and tension in the area of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, tendons, capsular ligament apparatus and connective tissue, including the nerves, lymphatic and blood vessels. Scars and adhesions between the different tissues can be removed.
At Central Valley Massage our Swedish Massage is usually a 30-minute application that is limited to the back, shoulders and neck area. A Swedish full body massage usually includes back, shoulders / neck, legs, feet, arms, hands and optionally head and face. There are also practitioners who massage the stomach with a Swedish massage. If you do not want to be touched on the stomach or head, it is always advisable to discuss the procedure with the practitioner before starting the treatment!
Experts are often asked which items of clothing need to be removed for which massage. During a Swedish massage, everything is usually taken off to the underpants, including the bra. Many people feel most comfortable when they take everything off during a massage and this is usually not a problem because the genital area is covered with a towel throughout the treatment. If you are unsure about this, the best thing to do is to speak to your therapist immediately before starting the treatment so that all uncertainties are cleared before you start.
The Swedish massage is only moderately oily. For this reason, it is also very clear to wear your own underpants. If a one-way slip is offered and you want to be on the safe side, you can of course just as well wear it.
